FORGED STEEL GATE VALVE
Gate valves – forged steel shut-off valves – are primarily used for fully opening or fully closing in both directions in piping systems. They are generally not considered for throttling purposes for slurries, viscous liquids, etc. A typical gate valve is operated by a wedge that moves up and down along a shaft nut. These valves are widely used in industries such as: petroleum, chemicals, minerals, etc.
