A butterfly valve is a type of industrial valve used to regulate or open/close the flow in a pipeline. It has a simple structure with a circular disc mounted on a shaft; when the shaft is rotated 90°, the disc will be parallel or perpendicular to the flow, thereby allowing or blocking the passage of liquid or gas.
